There are many benefits involved with drinking vitamins in liquid form. This method provides a new way for the body to absorb the essential vitamins in a more effective way. There are numerous benefits to taking vitamins through liquids rather than the normal pill form.

Many nutritional experts believe that taking vitamins in liquid form enables the body to better absorb the vitamins. When taken in capsules or tablet form, vitamins are often lost by the body and not stored. Drinking vitamins is an effective method of receiving the most from the dosage.

The vast majority of minerals and vitamins taken in pill form do not contain specific significant ingredients in relation to proteins, carbohydrates, or fats. The theory is that vitamins that are liquid will be more efficiently absorbed in the stomach because they have already been dissolved. Yet this is not really the case. There has been little scientific evidence to support this assertion. There has even been evidence to support the theory that there is no difference between taking vitamins as liquids rather than pills.

Scientific Findings

One study was taken from a sample of adults older than 65. The study showed that their bodies absorbed calcium just as efficiently with solid supplements as in liquid form via fortified milk or juice. This was a small study, however.

There is science behind the theory that older adults will not receive such amazing benefits from taking their vitamins as liquids. Individuals older than 50 tend to lack certain stomach chemicals responsible for extracting vitamin B12 from food sources. However, these individuals are able to successfully absorb all the necessary B12 from pills.
